<p>All week, I&#8217;ve been obsessing about Anthropologie&#8217;s <a href="http://www.anthropologie.com/anthro/product/shopsale-decorative/23810690.jsp">Torridon Rug</a>. I love the warmth of the shag, I love the color pallet. I just love it. And it&#8217;s on sale. For $999. Yikes. With a dog (and a budget), there&#8217;s no way I can justify paying that for a rug. So, I&#8217;ve been desperately searching for days to find a cheaper alternative.</p>
<p><a href="http://shakinstyle.com/files/2012/05/product.jpeg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-4534" src="http://shakinstyle.com/files/2012/05/product.jpeg" alt="" width="250" height="250" /></a></p>
<p>O.co had this <a href="http://www.overstock.com/Home-Garden/Hand-tufted-Multi-Perro-New-Zealand-Wool-Rug-5-x-8/6527965/product.html">hand-tufted wool rug</a> that shares most of the color pallet for $500. Still too expensive and lacking the shag.</p>
<p><a href="http://shakinstyle.com/files/2012/05/Screen-shot-2012-05-17-at-9.49.47-AM.png"><img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-4535" src="http://shakinstyle.com/files/2012/05/Screen-shot-2012-05-17-at-9.49.47-AM-300x300.png" alt="" width="300" height="300" /></a></p>
<p>JC Penney&#8217;s had <a href="http://www.jcpenney.com/dotcom/bed-bath/kids-teens/kids-teen-rooms/fair-square-prices/best-prices/studio-tapestry-printed-texture-rectangle-rug/prod.jump?ppId=1a932ec&amp;catId=cat100240023&amp;deptId=dept20000011&amp;selectedLotId=7517393&amp;selectedSKUId=75173930018&amp;rootDimName=item%20type,rug%20size&amp;navState=navState-:catId-cat100240023:subcatId-:subcatZone-false:N-100240023%20%20%204294965656%201791:Ns-:Nao-72:ps-24:pn-4:Ntt-:Nf-:action-pagination&amp;topDim=Item%20Type&amp;topDimvalue=area%20rugs&amp;dimCombo=Item%20Type|Rug%20Size&amp;dimComboVal=area%20rugs|5x8&amp;currentDim=Rug%20Size&amp;currentDimVal=5x8&amp;searchCount=166&amp;sortType=Featured&amp;catId=SearchResults">this rug</a> for $120. A little more muted than I&#8217;d like and a little bit cheap looking (also out of stock). Now I&#8217;m wondering if I can just buy a white shag rug and do it myself.</p>
