    Coop Tower

I’ve been trying for years to find a vintage wire-mesh cubby shelf like this. But why bother when CB2 has it for just $179. Sorry antique shops, you lose this round.

    Semble Tray

I don’t usually keep artichokes on my kitchen counter but this tray is convincing me it might be a good idea. Of suppose, I should to figure out how the heck to cook one first.

Steal of the Week: the Blueprint Chair

I once spent an entire month scouring Craig’s List for vintage Bertoia chairs. I found a few, but the price tags were way out of my league. Today I discovered the blueprint chair at CB2 marked down to $70 a chair. It’s not exactly the same, but it’s really close and, most importantly, affordable.

    World’s Best Curtain Rods Ever

I recently ordered curtains and curtain rods from JC Penney. A security light installed in the backyard of my building now shines directly through the blinds in my bedroom. It’s great for security but also like having a full moon blaring directly into my eyes while I’m trying to sleep. JC Penney has always been one of my favorite places to hunt for cheap home decor essentials, but some Roman shades I bought from them a few years ago were sort of disappointment. Not the case with aptly named 1.25″  Diameter Curved Rods. Not only do they look like something you’d find at West Elm for triple the price, they are great quality, heavy duty rods that are easily installed by two people and a drill. They’re on sale (and have been for at least a few weeks) for $30-$50 per rod.

    Patio Living

It’s actual winter in Dallas for once - i.e. 12″ of snow last weekend and weeks of consecutive cold temperatures. So, of course, I’m thinking of summer. When actual summer gets here, mosquitoes will remind me of why I don’t really like summer. But, until then I will fantasize about this lovely patio set from Target and Smith and Hawken. Right now the whole set (including canopy) is marked down to $851.

    Outside the Box

Succulents are some of the most simply beautiful plants you will ever find. That makes this simple wood-slat window box the perfect place to put them on display.

    Clear Winners

I absolutely love these clear acrylic display shelves from Hay but they are so, so expensive. I’m not sure how they are hanging these things on the wall. From what I can tell, they have some sort of tiny little metal hangers on the backs. But maybe there’s a way to fake it with those acrylic boxes you find at the craft store? Keep your fingers crossed.

    Spring Green with Envy

I am jealous of anyone who actually needs stools right now. This bar stool from Crate and Barrel is my favorite color of green and on sale for $50.

Three Heads are Better than One

I cannot get over how adorable these Girl Head throw pillows are. They remind me of my childhood novel heroines. They’re sold for $18 a piece, but email the seller to buy the whole group.

    Small Space Fire Place

I normally hate the very idea of a fake fireplace. Even the gas logs, while sort of cute in a kitschy way, seem like a waste. It’s the smell and the crackle of the fire that’s always appealed to me. But this wall-mounted fireplace is actually quite pretty - probably even when it’s not lit.
