Really lovely vintage-y prints, handmade in Bristol. I particularly like the match box series. £65 - £145 each.
This morning I’ve been admiring the color and simplicity of this print by Allana Cavanagh. Part of an edition of 30, it will set you back $895.
This gorgeous piece of art seems like one of those things I might convince myself I could make at home. 14 wasted pads of Post Its later, I would realize that was absolutely not the case. I guess I’ll just have to settle for admiring it from afar. See more of Nathalie’s work here.
While searching Etsy for modern photography prints, I ran across Lily’s Walls, a shop run by working artist and professor, Lily Mayfield. Her works are striking. I particularly like her “details” series (which includes the top two photos) and her “Fem” series (bottom two). Her prints are available in multiple sizes, framed or unframed.
A painting by Russ Noto. See more of his work here. Via the Jealous Curator.
It’s summer in Texas which means I’ll do just about anything to avoid the heat. Including spending my morning staring at pictures of Iceland. This is a particular favorite (I know it’s a hot pool, but it looks cold) – Untitled (Blue Lagoon, Rekjavik, Iceland) by Carlo Van de Roer, $60 at 20×200.
I am always inspired to see creative takes on embroidery. I certainly can’t draw, but I am a passable stitcher. So, hope remains alive that I might put together my own creation in this vein. This elegantly macabre piece is called Vulture and is available at Belljar.
If you haven’t discovered Beatrice Peltre’s food blog, La Tartine Gourmande, you should definitely give it a read. It’s filled with amazing, French-inspired recipes (most of them gluten free, if you happen to be allergic) and some of the most beautiful food photography I’ve seen. And now, aside from her lovely cookbook, you can fill your kitchen with prints of her food photographs. They are now available on Etsy for $175-$200 each.
