You may have read about Photojojo’s new engineer prints. They’re 3′x4′ black and white prints on 20lb white paper that have a charming faded look. The style was made popular by photographer Debbie Carlos and have been popping up everywhere lately. In fact, I own one of her prints myself. Anyways, last week I decided to give Photojojo’s new prints a try. I love the idea of being able to display one of my own photos in such dramatic fashion, and since prints are just $25 I figured there was nothing to lose. I got the print yesterday and I have to say I’m blown away. I wasn’t able to safely flatten the print to photograph it, but here is the image I used.
I plan to take it in to be framed this weekend. Having done this once before, I will tell you that the framing for a piece this big will run you $250-$300-ish – and that’s at a discount frame store. Personally, I think it’s totally worth it to have something so eye-catching on the wall.
