I hope that everybody had a great Thanksgiving. I haven’t been able to drag myself off the sofa to hit any of the Black Friday sales. But I have been shopping online. There are some great deals out in cyberspace, as well as a lot of new products at some of my favorite stores. I’m particularly charmed by this Stalagmite Vase from Urban Outfitters. It’s an online exclusive. And only $16.
In Dallas, we don’t get a lot of winter, but Thanksgiving is usually about the time the cold-ish weather starts in earnest. This year has been pretty warm, but this week we’re seeing over-night temperatures in the 30s. Time to grab a blanket and plop down in the favorite chair for my favorite holiday marathon - “House.” What can I say, I like a little grinch with my holiday.
Animal Blanket, $25
You need a pick-me-up to get going in the morning, and maybe your eyes do too. The bright hues of these Pantone coffee cups should do the trick. And if they inspire you to repaint the walls, matching the color will be a snap.
This Pictorial Webster’s dictionary would make the perfect gift for your favorite bookworm. You can find it at Anthropologie for $35 or order from Amazon.com for just $23.10.
If your day needs a little reboot, try a cup of tea or coffee (or spiked egg-nog) from these CTRL+ALT+DEL cups. The matching tray even looks like a little motherboard.
I don’t know any toddlers with tastes this refined. Let’s face it, they’ll eat their own boogers. But how cute is this?
I think I have posted about these Lumiere Candlesticks from CB2 about four times now, but I’m not going to apologize. They are simply fantastic. And since CB2 keeps bringing out new iterations every season, I feel justified in bringing them back up. This year’s version is an 8-piece set. There are four handblown, heat-tempered glass candlesticks and four candles to match for just $25.
Target has Scratch and Sniff holiday cards! They’re available in Candy Cane, Ginger Bread and Pine Needles.
Need a Monday chocolate fix? These lamps are low on calories and, may I predictably add, “high on style.” But seriously, they are pretty cool looking.
