    The Fire Is So Delightful

    Cgrantham hot hot hot
When we bought our house, we opted for the one without a fireplace over one that did have a fireplace. My thought about it was, why take up wall space when it's only cold enough to use one a few months out of the year?

I must admit, however, I do get kinda jealous when my flickr friends post pictures of their fireplaces. With the the new freestanding fireplaces I keep seeing in Home Depot, it appears I could buy one if I shelled out the money. The electric ones are especially interesting to me, although I figure there's nothing like a REAL fire.

If you have a freestanding fireplace, tell me about it! What kind is it, and do you love it?

We have a freestanding electric fireplace in our basement that I bought at Sams a few years ago. I love it! It puts out quite a bit of heat and definately helps with the chill of the basement. Plus, it’s beautiful. The biggest issue that I found while looking for a freestanding fireplace was that most of them are fairly small and look “fake”. This one was big and hefty and had a more realistic look.
