Silk Felt Soil posted some amazing product shots from a
furniture design studio in
London
called Unto This Last. All of the pieces have a sculptural look that fondly reminds
me of building Balsa Wood airplane models as a child. This is because the
studio uses Birch plywood and veneer with out any pretense. You can actually
see the layers of the plywood on the edges of each piece. The pieces are
reasonably priced to boot (at least when roughly estimated with my amazing
currency conversion abilities).
Where’s the catch, you ask? Unto This Last does not deliver
across the pond. If you want to purchase something, you can make a trip to the
store and carry things back. All of their pieces are flat-packed and should travel well. Or, we can all e-mail them begging for U.S. delivery until they give-in. ![]()

The guys that make this stuff are lovely… i know them well. I’m sure if you beg a little they will help you out
